Good Morning! This card was CASed and Inspired by Lynn over at LW Designs with slight changes in colors, ribbon and such. Lynn's card is so soft and very pretty.
I stamped the image with Whisper White Craft ink (let dry or use a heat tool) then colored it in using a blender pen with classic ink pads. Lynn used a aqua painter. If anyone knows the name of this technique please let me know. Check out the colour Q challenge #197 The Royal Court Design Team with their cool
color palette: Tangerine Tango, Gumball Green and Summer Sun. I've been told you can use any neutral color so I added Crumb Cake!
All supplies Stampin' Up! ... unless noted.

I think the technique is called Black Magic. I've only ever tried it on black card stock but it looks lovely on crumb cake. The flowers have a beautiful soft look. Thanks for joining us at colourQ.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, I love that technique! Great use of the colors. Thanks for playing with us at ColourQ!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy I was able to inspire you Marian! Your card is just beautiful! I love the pretty button you used...it really sets it off nicely. I really love this technique and have used it quite a bit now since trying it. Like Jen says above, I thought it was a variation of Black Magic tech as well, but I tried it using the aqua painters with the white ink on black card stock & it didn't work at all for me. My color would disappear as soon as it dried using the classic ink & aqua painter. I think for that you have to use colored pencils to get the color to show. Thanks again for your nice comments & link up to my blog. :-)
ReplyDeleteMarian--You definately get an A+ for this scrumptious looking card.
