Where Blue Birds Fly CARD, OLW89

Trilled to be playing along with the "Less is More" ONE LAYER challenge team using a design of card with clean lines, minimal elements, areas of white space and few or no embellishments. This week's theme is using Wings.  So, I am bringing back Nature Walk stamp set using my favorite colors different shades of blues. 
I was thinking outside the box by brayering in a angle vs. the traditional way of up & down along the edge of the card stock.

Recipe ...

Stamp:  Nature Walk, Live, Laugh, Love-retired
Ink: Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, Brilliant Blue-retired
Paper: Whisper White
Accessories: Sponge, Brayer, PTI Hemp
Technique:  Brayer Sky, Sponging

OLC One Layer Card One piece of card folded in half with no additional layers and minimal embellishments, where the image is stamped or printed directly onto the cardstock.

Coral Leaf, Brown Leaf CARD, Less is More, colourQ

Two Challenges today!  I was encouraged by one of my stampin sisters Loralee (Mrs. Parrish) by this card I made last week to play over at the Simply Less is More challenge Week 84 using a design of card with clean lines, minimal elements, areas of white space and few or no embellishments.  This week's theme is using FOLIAGE in focus.  With that in mind I created another foliage card using Stampin' Up!'s French Foliage stamp set.  This is my very first time playing with the Less is More One Layer Card Challenge team and I think I'm hooked.   My second challenge is one of my favorites creating with colors is the colourQ challenge #153 using this lovely color palette that are perfect for Autumn cards.

Create the romance of a leisurely fall afternoon spent in a French cafe writing thoughts and impressions in a journal with the images in this set and ink spatter backgrounds.

Ink:  Calypso Coral, Chocolate Chip, So Safron, Soft Sky
Paper:  Whisper White
Technique:  Masking, Sponging
OLC: One Layer Card = One piece of card folded in half with no additional layers and minimal embellishments, where the image is stamped.

*update .... Tuesday 9/18 I won the colourQ challenge and now Im a  colourQ CourtierThank you ladies! These are great challanges to grow with so much inspiration.

French Foliage Happy Birthday CARD, PP111

Today's post is for The Paper Players Theme Challenge (PP#111) using either Leaves or Trees.  Here is my take using my favorite Fall stamp set French Foliage by Stampin' Up!
This card was CASed and INspired with slight changes with the sentiment and colors added whose original can be seen by the talented artist, Leonie Schroder, Stamp a Latte blog all the way from Campbelltown, NSW Australia ... that's far!  Thank you Leonie for the inspiration.

Five In Colors. Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit.
A Happy Birthday shout out to my Stampin' UP! upline Brenda Keenan along with a big congratulations to her on her big achievement for receiving the SU Founder's Circle Award.  She may see this posting before she receives her card in the mail.

Fabulous Field Flowers CARD in Blues

This card was Cased and Inspired with slight changes with no heat embossing whose original can be seen by the talented artist:  Heather Telford along with a fabulous tutorial.  Please check out her blog bits & pieces.  I love the color blue and how this came out.  I made these for this months swaps

Welcome Autumn and colourQ challenge #104

Happy 2nd Birthday over at ColorQ!   To celebrate ColorQ Challenge #104 their 2nd Birthday you get to CASE a previous Queens creations.  Here's my take using this beautiful stamp set. 
My CASE was inspired by Becky at Scrap Junkie cQc#100 by using the same SU French Foliage, a beautiful stamp set.
