Put a Ring-On-It Organizing Embellishments

My huge goal this year is to work more on my Project Life Memory Keeping projects and get those pictures into albums.  I had to find a solution to organize all of my embellishments from the many enamel dots to all the designer embellishments, alphabets you name it.  My embellishments were sorted by type in drawers, containers, jars but I tend to forget what I have especially if I can't see them, I can't visualize them totally out of sight, out of mind.  So what I did I put a Ring-On-It!

Binding rings are a great addition to your stash of supplies. 7 Gypsies brought them out to hold together their book board books but you could use them for many other things. Since they open and close easily, hang samples together, or tags, even keys.  Pick a size and a color and bind all your dreams together.  Here are my little dreams of goodies.

How does your work differ from others in your genre?

I try hard to create pretty cards.  I try hard to create nice scrapbook layouts that I’d want others to like, hopefully, others will want to try it out for themselves. You can do it!
Why do you create what you do?

Don’t just create for others.  I create for me.  It makes my heart smile. 
How does your creativity process work?

Don’t say you don’t have enough time. We’re all busy, but we all get 24 hours a day. People often ask me, “How do you find the time?” And I answer, “I look for it.” You might have to miss an episode of your favorite TV show, you might have to miss an hour of sleep, but you can find the time if you look for it.

Flair Button Embellishment Organization Clipboard At-A-Glance

Organizing flair buttons for your Project Life memory keeping projects. 

Putting the flair on Project Life. 

There has been some discussion lately about organizing and storing flair buttons (badges) so I thought I’d share how I’ve decided to store mine.  

I wanted to find a way to organize my flair button embellishments where I can see them all at once.  If I store them in a glass jar or small container I will never see them.  Out of sight out of mind.  

DIY simple flair button embellishment clipboard

I jazzed up a plain clipboard and then displayed my flair buttons all in a row.  

I adhered Mod Podge onto a sheet of card stock.  Applied the card stock to the clipboard, let dry.

Used scraps of ribbon to decorate the top of the clipboard.

Adhered rows of sticky strip top to bottom as shown below in photo.

You can hang your clipboard to a wall or place it in a storage box and take it with you to your next crop.  Clipboard fit's perfect in a 12" x 12" inch plastic scrapbook container as shown below.

Celebration of Life ~ My Mom and Keepsake Project Life Memory Keeping Messages

I know it's been a while since you've heard from me.  For those of you that don't know,

sadly my mom passed away last month.

 

My mom:  Margarita Garcia, 94.5, an independent woman at the core, Margarita learned at a young age how to take care of herself.  Growing up in San Bernadino, California she faced struggles and being an orphan in the midst of the depression.  Through those difficult years, she persevered and eventually found contentment when starting a family with her husband, John.  Living the charmed life, Margarita enjoyed surrounded by her family, always loving and supported her loved ones.  She was an exceptionally strong, patient and precious individual who will be greatly missed.  She lived in her little White House, the one her and her beloved husband John, my dad, built together for them of 66 years.

I would like to share with you at my moms memorial reception I had all our guests family and friends write down some of their fond memories of my mom.  Later down the road I'd will document these lovely messages in a memory album traditionally or scan the memory messages for a digital memory book.  A few years back I created a book in honor of my dad and while I was creating it I found it to be quite theraputic and very healing. 

I specifically pulled out the Project Life 4x6 blank white cards.
