Christmas in July! SSSC24

Christmas in July, well that's what I think when July 1st comes around. Jumped in and participated in Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #24. I must admit this was a tuff sketch and my brain hurts trying to come up with something since Sunday and must have gazed at this sketch for hours (really). The trees are embossed applying VersaMark first then by inking Rich Razzelberry and Old Olive. My attempt was trying to get a old vintage Christmas Holiday feel.

Recipe: SU Lovely as a Tree (a must have), SU retired French Script BG and Papertrey Ink: Snowfall-sentiment
Paper: Rich Razzelberry In-Color, Very Vanilla, Creamy Caramel, Old Olive
Ink: VersaMark, Rich Razzelberry In-Color, Creamy Caramel, Old Olive, Tim Holtz Tea Dye
Cuttlebug A-2 Swirls, Hero Arts Pearl, organdy old olive ribbon, ivory satin feather ribbon, Marvy punches. oval punch, dimensionals, clear embossing powder, sponge, water spritzer
Technique: Embossing, crunching, tone on tone

  1. Beautifully done! I love those colors together and the stamp layering looks so nice!

  2. I luv this card, the razzleberry and the olive are stunning together....wow!

    enjoy *~*
