Wildflower Meadow CARD, cQc#197

Good Morning!  This card was CASed and Inspired by Lynn over at LW Designs with slight changes in colors, ribbon and such.   Lynn's card is so soft and very pretty.

I stamped the image with Whisper White Craft ink (let dry or use a heat tool) then colored it in using a blender pen with classic ink pads.  Lynn used a aqua painter.  If anyone knows the name of this technique please let me know.

Check out the colour Q challenge #197 The Royal Court Design Team with their cool
color palette: Tangerine Tango, Gumball Green and Summer Sun.  I've been told you can use any neutral color so I added Crumb Cake!

All supplies Stampin' Up! ... unless noted.

  1. I think the technique is called Black Magic. I've only ever tried it on black card stock but it looks lovely on crumb cake. The flowers have a beautiful soft look. Thanks for joining us at colourQ.

  3. I'm happy I was able to inspire you Marian! Your card is just beautiful! I love the pretty button you used...it really sets it off nicely. I really love this technique and have used it quite a bit now since trying it. Like Jen says above, I thought it was a variation of Black Magic tech as well, but I tried it using the aqua painters with the white ink on black card stock & it didn't work at all for me. My color would disappear as soon as it dried using the classic ink & aqua painter. I think for that you have to use colored pencils to get the color to show. Thanks again for your nice comments & link up to my blog. :-)
